How do bowls work?

There are different kinds of bowls. Crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls and Alchemy bowls. 

If you can think of the crystal in the crystal bowls, crystals are fossilized water formed when water combines with Silica sand under certain condition of pressure, temperature and energy become quartz crystal. Quartz crystal can amplify, transform, store, focus and transfer energy. We find this in microphones, radio, television equipment, laser tools and computer to name a few. Our bodies are crystalline in structure too, water combined with some thing else.

The good bowls are made from 99.992% of pure crushed quartz and heated to about 4000 degrees in a centrifugal mold. The size of the bowl does not necessarily determine its note, although the larger bowls tend to sound in the lower octaves and notes by nature. Generally the notes C, D, E, F, A, B correspond to the body’s energy centers. Bowls can be played together for a synergistic effect.

Gemstone bowls have other kinds of gemstones like citrine added to the quartz and generally has thinner walls compared to the “frosted” bowls or “ clear” bowls. Thus making their tone clearer and more refined. Tibetan bowls are made of different kinds of metals and are made with a hammer or some kind of tool that shapes it.
